All of us believe that the whole universe and the
human body are made up of the five fundamental elements such as earth, space,
fire, water and air.
Fundamentally, these five elements are associated with human
beings’ five senses such as to hear, taste, see, smell and touch. The primary goal
to learn Indian Vastu is
to understand how to dwell in absolute equilibrium and harmony through
balancing these five primary elements.
Indian Vastu teaches individuals how to improve their
internal and external unevenness, to subsist a peaceful and comfortable life. Vastu
Shastra is basically a science of direction which blends the five primary elements
of nature and cosmos to eventually balance it with the human beings and the
material. This mysterious science unifies these five elements known as the
‘Panchbhootas’- earth, space, fire, water and air and pave a way for happiness,
enlightenment and success.
As per the Indian Vastu, the cosmos is packed with positive
energies that individuals should learn to approach and keep in balanced if they
desire experiencing a peaceful life. These energies are basically radiated through
two forces including the five primary elements and the electro-magnetic energy produced
by the rotation of earth. Earth is a third planet amongst the nine planets where
life exists because of the existence of “panchbhootas”. Sun, air and space are available
universally and know how to mould along with human requirements through the act
of design. To meticulously identify with the act of design through these five
elements individuals require learning
Indian Vastu and these primary elements briefly.
Excavating the Primary
Elements of the Indian Vastu Shastra Helping Individuals Learn Indian Vastu:
- Earth: Earth primary called as “Prithvi” is recognized for its gravitational and compelling attributes. It is the only element which is associated with all the five senses of the human body: the sense of sight, sound, smell, taste and touch. This is the primary reason why it influences human beings the most. Sleeping with keeping the head towards the south direction allows an individual to go with the nature and exert a pull on the maximum positive energies through the cosmos, to stay healthy.
- Water: Water primary called as “Jal” is the most vital element after the earth and is connected to the human being’s senses of sight, touch, taste and hearing. Quantitatively, it is one of the largest elements because more than 80% of human body and 2/3rd of the earth's surface is built of water. Vastu accurately decides the assignment of water sources such as boring, wells, underground and overhead water tank while planning to construct any building, to reap the maximum benefits.
- Fire: Sun is the key source of life and energy and is recognized for its energy and power. Sun is connected with “Agni” (fire) that is the source of all energy on the earth and without Sun life will come to an end. This element is associated with sight, sound and touch. Kitchen, Geysers and fireplace must be located in the southeast direction. Indian Vastu suggests having tall and big trees in the south direction, to block the destructive rays of sun.
- Air: Air primary called as “Vayu” is an essential element for human being’s survival and relates to their senses of touch and sound. Air on the earth is an amalgamation of different gases such as helium, hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen that are important for the human beings. Vastu suggests the tips to be applied for the placement of ventilators, balconies, doors, windows, height of structure and position of trees and plants, to stabilize the air element. Air must enter the building from the northeast direction.
- Space: Space primarily called as “Akash” has no restrictions, is infinite and is associated with the human sense of hearing. In any house, the space component is connected to the central portion or the “Brahmasthan” which is required to be kept open. Simultaneously, the house must be built in such a manner that the light comes in its centre. Any commotions in this element turn out to be harmful to your growth.
